A joyful reflection, at once philosophical, poetic, political and educational, "Smatch" is like a laboratory teeming with ideas.  Blocking the despair which paralyses us, emphasising the observations of philosopher Vinciane Despret and the surprising contributions from video performer Messieurs Delmotte, Dominique Roodthooft fires a very nice volley against pessimistic immobility.  The show was performed last summer in Avignon!

Françoise Berlanger presents us with the loss of her husband, who died of cancer at a young age.  The antithesis of the tearful story-teller, and with no religious references, she rails against the invisibility cloak worn by bereavement and mourning in the West.  A world of sounds, visual arts, music, poetry and traditional Indian theatre makes for wonderful artistic diversity.  Everyone will find something they can relate to and take away from this very personal story.
